42. Ed Podolak

Podolak was one of the most versatile players in franchise history. The running back played from 1969-77 with the Chiefs before retiring with 4,451 rushing yards and 2,456 receiving yards. Podolak was one of the first back to play as as a dual threat out of the backfield, giving Len Dawson a nice weapon.

Podolak would likely not be on this list however if not for his performance in the Christmas Day game of 1971 against the Miami Dolphins. On that day, Podolak put on a performance for the ages, churning out 350 total yards including 85 on the ground, 110 in receiving and 155 in returns. Sadly, Kansas City lost in double overtime, the longest game ever played.

41. Dale Carter

Carter was one of the most talented players to ever put on the red and yellow, only to be derailed by off-the-field incidents that eventually led to his dismissal from the team. Carter won Defensive Rookie of the Year honors in 1992 and was named to four Pro Bowls (1994-97) and two All-Pro teams before moving onto the Denver Broncos.

Paired with James Hasty, head coach Marty Schottenheimer had the best duo of cornerbacks in the league for years. This tandem was able to continue a proud tradition at corner, taking over spots for Albert Lewis and Kevin Ross. Carter finished his career in 2005.
