48. Tim Grunhard

From 1990-2000, Kansas City never had to worry about who was lining up at center. Grunhard was a terrific player, able to handle defenders against the run and the pass. Grunhard was part of the line with both John Alt and Dave Szott, paving the way for Marcus Allen and Christian Okoye.

Grunhard made the Pro Bowl in 1999, a long overdue accolade. A second-round pick out of Notre Dame University, Grunhard more than lived up to his draft stock. Much like Saleaumua, Grunhard was always under the radar but productive every year.

47. James Hasty

After spending the first seven years of his career with the New York Jets, Hasty was signed by the Chiefs in the spring of 1995 to pair with Dale Carter. The results were terrific, with Kansas City having one of the finest defenses in the league for the next half-decade. Hasty was able to play a physical brand of football and twice made the Pro Bowl in 1997 and 1999.

Hasty was on a pair of Chiefs playoff teams that went 13-3, only to fall short in the Divisional round both years. Hasty recorded 45 career interceptions and scored four touchdowns, including a game-winner in overtime against the Oakland Raiders in 1995.
