26. Trent Green

Green was the one of the rare quarterbacks in Kansas City who understood that he was aiming for the guys in uniforms matching his. Green played with the Chiefs from 2001-06 and was prolific, leading the league’s best offense throughout that time. He was twice named to the Pro Bowl in 2003 and 2005.

With Kansas City, Green went over the 4,000-yard mark three consecutive years including 2004, when he threw for a career-high 4,591 yards with 27 touchdowns. All told, Green finished his NFL career with 28,475 yards and 162 touchdowns. Not bad for a guy who came into the league as an eighth-round pick.

25. Kevin Ross

Ross was never the biggest guy, perhaps why he was taken in the seventh round of the 1984 NFL Draft. Ross ended up being one of the top corners in the 80s and played at a high level into the 90s, staying with Kansas City through the 1993 season. Ross would bounce around afterwards and eventually retire with the Chiefs in 1997.

Ross was a two-time Pro Bowler and finished up with 38 interceptions, earning a spot in the Chiefs Hall of Fame in 2011. The New Jersey native played across from Albert Lewis throughout his tenure, giving Kansas City the best corner tandem in the game.
