30. Abner Haynes
It’s time to go old school again. Haynes was one of the great players in the AFL, starring for a Texans team that won the league title in 1962 before moving to Kansas City. Haynes was known for his speed and elusiveness, accounting for 12,065 yards during his career in the AFL.
Haynes had his No. 28 retired by the Chiefs and was a four-time All-Pro selection. Haynes was the star performer on the 1962 team, giving Len Dawson a terrific rushing attack. Haynes was also named to the AFL All-Time Second-Team.
29. Nick Lowery
Lowery was one of the best kickers ever to play in the NFL, known both for a strong leg and deadly accuracy. Lowery was a two-time first-team All-Pro with the Chiefs, enjoying a career that almost never happened. Lowery broke in with the New England Patriots in 1978 but was out of football the following year until joining Kansas City in 1980.
Lowery played with the Chiefs through 1993 before finishing his career with the New York Jets in 1996. The German native was inducted into the team’s Hall of Fame in 2009, and is most remembered for kicking a game-winning field goal against the Pittsburgh Steelers in the 1993 AFC Wild Card game.
