Pittsburgh Steelers:  The Steelers have traded a conditional fifth round pick to the Eagles for cornerback Brandon Boykin.  The Steelers secondary was probably the most glaring issue for the team, so addressing it makes a lot of sense for them right now.

Seattle Seahawks:  In a story that Chiefs fans should be able to relate to, the Seahawks have activated defensive tackle Jesse Williams from the Non-Football Injury list as he recovers from his battle with cancer.  To top off that good news, the Seahawks made two major re-signings with quarterback Russell Wilson and linebacker Bobby Wagner.  Both players got large deals, which meant Seattle did have to do some roster trimming.  That came in the form of defensive tackle Tony McDaniel.

  • Chiefs’ take: Williams will have a longer road ahead of him than Berry, but I think we can all appreciate how great a story this is.

Washington Redskins:  The Redskins got a scare when star wide receiver DeSean Jackson separated his shoulder while running drills against a blocking dummy.  Jackson is undergoing some more tests, but early indications are that he will only miss one or two weeks.

That’s it for me Chiefs fans.  I’ll be back with another round up of headlines and rumors next week.
