Good morning, Addicts! Your Editor-in-Chiefs will be on the road today, headed to Kansas City Chiefs training camp. It will be a long journey from Chicago, but one I’m more than glad to make. For the rest of you, enjoy your Friday and if you are going to camp, feel free to come over and talk anytime. I’ll be the guy in red.

Dontari Poe’s timeline for recoveryJoel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"Chao claims to have insider knowledge about sports injuries — not insider information. He is not Poe’s doctor nor has he seen him so he’s not dealing with inside information — only the Chiefs would know that — but he has worked in the business for nearly 20 years so he has knowledge of how these things work."

Chase Daniel gets moved to running back. Hilarity ensuesTerez Paylor of the Kansas City Star

"Only rookies and quarterbacks are required to attend, which means that in some cases, when a player gets hurt, he might not have a backup at his position. Such was the case when the only running back in attendance this week, Keshawn Hill, was forced to leave Thursday’s practice because of a hamstring injury."

"Alex Smith enters his third season as the team’s starting quarterback in 2015. While he has continued his run of success that began under Jim Harbaugh in 2011, Smith’s limitations have also hamstrung Kansas City’s offense. Smith hasn’t thrown more than seven interceptions in a season since 2010, but last year he rarely threw the ball more than 20 yards in the air, and the Chiefs’ wide receivers combined for zero touchdown receptions."

Fan take on the Chiefs (comedy, maybe)Trevor Risk of Uproxx.com

"For some stupid reason there is hope around this season with the Chiefs, and to have hope around this team has got to make you somewhere on the spectrum; somewhere right around Forrest Gump’s area. Last time this team won a playoff game was with Joe Montana, against a team that doesn’t exist anymore, in a stadium that has been blown up. I was 10. Rooting for this team is the worst. I truly hate it."
