Justin Houston got PAID by the Kansas City Chiefs on Wednesday morning, signing a six-year, $101 million deal with $52.5 million guaranteed, according to multiple reports. Houston’s contract is $1 million larger than J.J. Watt of the Houston Texans and only slots behind Ndamukong Suh of the Miami Dolphins for the largest contract in NFL history for a defensive player.
While we all celebrate … big time … here is what Twitter has to say on the news:
Blessed to sign contract with the KC Chiefs. Thanks to my family #1 & my agents Joel Segal & @gbo74 for the awesome contract!

How big was the Justin Houston deal? It's the second biggest defensive contract in NFL history. Beat J.J. Watt in GTD and Avg money.

In other words, BOOM. This is one of the best days the Chiefs have had in many offseasons.
