Good morning, Addicts! Hopefully everyone enjoyed their 4th of July and still has all 10 of their fingers. It was a good time here in Chicago, as your editor adopted a dog (I’m growing up and stuff) and watched the fireworks with the pup from the apartment. Needless to say, it will be a holiday I won’t soon forget, and hopefully yours was every bit as memorable.
Moving on to the football side of things, here is the latest news on the Kansas City Chiefs:
Josh Mauga in right place at right time – Pete Sweeney of KCChiefs.com
"Though very unfortunate for the Chiefs, the injuries to Johnson and Mays opened up a golden door for Mauga. He was in the right place at the right time, his career had new life and he had full support of one of the game’s most respected head coaches."
John Dorsey had an epic mustache – Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride
"Chris Thorman, my brother and co-editor of the site, used to wear a mustache. So as someone with mustache experience, Chris can probably appreciate the beauty that is John Dorsey’s former mustache."
Chiefs hosting fantasy camp on Aug. 25 and 26 – KCChiefs.com
"Then, on Wednesday, August 26, you’ll huddle up with former Chiefs greats and spend the day with your captain—breaking down film, gearing up at the locker room and taking the field at Arrowhead Stadium. Learn from the pros and test your football abilities through a skills competition and lead your team to victory in a 7-on-7 flag football tournament."
Overview of Kansas City offense going into camp – Herbie Teope of Chiefs Digest
"The Chiefs need to identify a swing tackle in training camp and have plenty of versatile offensive linemen to choose from, including Stephenson, Jeff Allen, whose natural position is tackle, or Sherrod, who worked at right and left tackle during OTAs and minicamp."
