Good morning, Addicts! Hopefully you have plenty of great plans and beautiful weather on this July 4th weekend. It is a time to celebrate, and also a time to remember what so many people fought for from 1776-1781 back when the United States were just colonies owned by England. There is a place for barbeque and fireworks, and also a place for remembrance of those who lost their lives in the battle for freedom.

With that, let’s move to the Kansas City Chiefs and news from around the web:

Could the Miami Dolphins be willing to trade for Jeff Allen?Joel Thorman of Arrowhead Pride

"Jeff Allen is the one that I think about when it comes to trade speculation, mostly because he has some experience and you might be able to get something of value for him. I like Jeff a lot and would keep him if I were the GM but the Chiefs have talked about moving his position from guard to tackle a couple of times (he moved there before the 2014 season and Andy Reid talked about moving him there earlier this offseason)."

Jeremy Maclin is Chiefs most important player Dan Schmelzer of NFL Spin Zone

"This major free agent addition not only gives the Chiefs a much-needed number one options at the wide receiver position, it unites Maclin with a coaching staff that he had a lot of success with in Philadelphia. Maclin spent the first four years of his career under current Chiefs’ head coach Andy read when they were both with Eagles."

Andy Reid considered top-10 coachLeigh Oleszczak of KC Kingdom

"Before coming to Kansas City in 2013, Reid spent 14 years as the head coach for the Philadelphia Eagles, where he compiled a 130-93-1 record. After the 2012 season, Reid was fired from the Eagles and was almost immediately scooped up by the Chiefs on a five-year deal."
