Good morning, Addicts! We have a couple of good stories for you to digest today. First, Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey discusses his long road to Arrowhead Stadium. Second, Arrowhead Pride’s Stagdsp gives a wonderful film review of both D.J. Alexander and Ramik Wilson. Enjoy.
General manager John Dorsey talks job with Chiefs – Desmond Conner of The Hartford Courant
"When Dorsey, 54, came to Kansas City with coach Andy Reid in 2013, the Chiefs were coming off a 2-14 season in 2012. They were 11-5 and made the playoffs in 2013, one of the biggest turnarounds in team and league history. Last season they were 9-7 but missed the playoffs."
Did Chiefs land two starters at inside linebacker? – Stagdsp of Arrowhead Pride
"For this film review, I watched four games from DJ Alexander, and five from Ramik Wilson. I was looking for “wow” moments, (positive or negative) and evidence that the LB I was watching had the ability to “win” in the run game and / or the passing game."
Kansas City must find role for De’Anthony Thomas – Dan Schmelzer of NFL Spin Zone
"The Chiefs currently list Thomas as a running back, but it is not like he plays the position in a traditional role. The Chiefs did line Thomas up in the backfield at times last season, but they were not giving him the ball like a true workhorse running back. Thomas’ carries mostly came on jet-sweeps and counter plays that allowed him to use his skills in open space to make defenders miss."
Extra point rule changes will affect 2015 – BJ Kissel of KCChiefs.com
"The extra point attempt will now take place from the 15-yard line, and defenses will now also have the opportunity to score on a return of a failed two-point conversion. The two-point conversion attempt will still take place from the 2-yard line. Under the previous rule the ball was dead after the failed attempt."
