Coffee with the Chiefs – Rookies get jersey numbers
Good morning, Addicts! The offseason is ending in some ways, with the start of rookie minicamp Saturday afternoon. It’s an exciting time to root for the Kansas City Chiefs, what with a loaded roster and a competent coaching staff. So many years, it seemed like Kansas City had a glass ceiling. That dread is definitely not present this time around. Let’s get caught up with the latest news.

Chiefs backing on Derrick Johnson to bounce back – Sean Keeler of FOX Sports
"Now the argument has been made — and reasonably — that Dorsey could’ve switched offensive line and linebacker priorities around, addressing the latter first, especially given that we’ve now seen what life looks like without D.J., and seen, firsthand, the pros and cons of 16 weeks of Josh Mauga and James Michael-Johnson at the heart of the defensive front."
Dustin Colquitt discusses new long snapper – Adam Teicher of ESPN.com
"It’s an important issue for the Chiefs because they’ve been solid on special teams and particularly with their punting and kicking. Colquitt has long been one of the NFL’s top punters. He’s particularly effective placing his punts inside the 20."
