Hello, Chiefs fans. Believe it or not, there is actually NFL news that takes place outside of Kansas City!  I know…weird. Mind blown.

But not to worry, the staff here at Arrowhead Addict has got your back! We’re bringing you a recap of the biggest stories from around the league each week. We’re even including a quick take for those stories that may have some kind of an impact on our beloved Chiefs.

Here is what the rest of the league is doing:

Arizona Cardinals:  The Cardinals claimed former New England corner back, Alfonzo Dennard, off of waivers. The first-round pick was disappointing for the Patriots, but his aggressive style figures to fit better in Arizona. He will be in the mix for a starting position.

Atlanta Falcons: The 2015 NFL Draft was a bittersweet moment for new Falcons defensive tackle, Grady Jarrett. While Jarrett was selected to play for the Falcons, he was busy with coming to terms with the fact that his family’s house had caught fire the night before. The Falcons, for their part, have stepped in already to assist Jarrett and his family in trying to recover.

Baltimore Ravens: The Baltimore media believes that the Ravens are planning to move on from veteran tight end, Dennis Pitta. Pitta is currently contemplating retirement from the NFL due to multiple surgeries on his right hip, so it only makes sense that the Ravens plan for the worse. And in accordance with that, the Ravens ended up taking three tight ends in the draft this past weekend.

Buffalo Bills: Rex Ryan jumped ahead of his competitors in recruiting La’el Collins by taking the prospect out to dinner. This may or may not be a violation of NFL rules regarding unsigned rookies…but it’s Rex…and for some reason, when Rex breaks the rules, it just doesn’t seem as bad.

Chicago Bears: Ray McDonald’s legal troubles are not over as he now faces a civil suit in connection to sexual assault charges that were filed against him last year.

Cleveland Browns: Browns coach Mike Pettine named Josh McCown, and not Johnny Manziel, as the likely starter for the 2015 season. The Browns were largely expected to address the quarterback position early in the 2015 Draft, but chose to look at other positions instead. Thad Lewis and Connor Shaw are the other quarterbacks on the roster, and all four players have starting experience.
