On Saturday morning, Kansas City Chiefs first-round pick Marcus Peters got a chance to be introduced at Arrowhead Stadium. Peters comes in with plenty of fanfare, with many analysts including ESPN’s Jon Gruden believing him to be the best corner in the 2015 NFL Draft.
Peters is also fairly polarizing after being kicked off the Washington Huskies football team in November for having one too many run-ins with the coaching staff. Both general manager John Dorsey and head coach Andy Reid have repeatedly said they are not concerned about the young man’s character.
Here’s what took place at today’s presser:
The first thing new cornerback Marcus Peters did was thank Clark Hunt for the opportunity & the chance to start over anew.#ChiefsDraft

Dorsey says Peters will miss some of OTAs this year because Washington is on the quarters system, just like DAT did last year.

#Chiefs GM John Dorsey said that Peters will participate in rookie minicamp (May 16-18) but will miss some of OTAs due to academic calendar.

Peters: Growing up in Oakland, big Charles Woodson fan. (As you'd expect.) Dug Al Harris (now his coach) as well. #Chiefs #NFL
