The Kansas City Chiefs picked up Washington Huskies cornerback Marcus Peters with their first-round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft Thursday night. Peters has off-field concerns, getting kicked off the Washington team for multiple arguments with the coaches in 2014. However, his talent is undisputed.
After being selected, Peters talked via conference call with the Kansas City media. Here’s a sampling of what Peters had to say about a bevy of topics. For all the interviews at full-length, check out KCChiefs.com.
Peters on his pre-draft visit to KC: "I just had one of those great feelings. It felt like home walking into that building."

This should be a good time in defensive coordinator Bob Sutton’s press-man scheme:
Peters: “How would I describe my style of play? Aggressive."

If nothing else, you have to love the attitude:
Peters: “I’m going to do whatever it takes to protect my island and protect my team."

Peters is hoping for a fresh start in Kansas City:
