On Thursday night at 8 p.m. EST, the 2015 NFL Draft will be underway from Chicago, Ill. The event has been much-anticipated for the past three months, with prospects going through the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, followed by school-specific pro days and then interviews and visits with teams.

Finally, we are about to find out who is going where. The rules of the draft are simple:

  • Trades may occur at any time, and can include picks from future years. However, compensatory picks may not be dealt.
  • Each team has 10 minutes to make a selection during Round 1. In Round 2, each team has seven minutes. In Rounds 3-7, each team has five minutes to make a selection.
  • If a team fails to select before its allotted time expires, the team behind them in the draft order may choose a player. However, the team that was passed over can jump back in and make its pick at any point.
