Week 3: Kansas City Chiefs at Green Bay Packers
While it may be a cop-out to select a game the very next week, this will be a great matchup on Monday Night Football. The Chiefs will play in historic Lambeau Field against a great opponent in the Packers. On top of the history there with the 50th anniversary of the Super Bowl, the Chiefs will get to showcase the team three years into the Dorsey/Reid regime.
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are a great team, and should have appeared in the Super Bowl, if not for the amazing comeback by the Seattle Seahawks. Both teams should view this game as an audition for the playoffs, which will only benefit viewing audiences. The Packers will want to prove their success last year was not fluke as they eye the postseason. The Chiefs, for their part, will need to hold their own against the NFC power team to silence critics who doubt Kansas City’s chance of winning a playoff game. This will be a tough game, as any game is in Lambeau, and even though early in the season, the Chiefs will need to win this game. Unfortunately, I feel this is going to be one of those heart-breaker games for the Chiefs. The Packers just have too much firepower for Kansas City.
Final score: Packers 34, Chiefs 21
