Week 1: Houston Texans

Who knows what to expect in this game? We have a quarterback battle going on between Ryan Mallett and Brian Hoyer, with the edge likely going to Mallett. While Hoyer has experience and likely gives Houston a better chance to win now (although still not a good chance), Mallett represents the future if he shows something.

The defense is going to be rough to deal with. There is Defensive Player of the Year, J.J. Watt, looking to destroy worlds. The Texans also acquired Vince Wilfork to play nose tackle and have Jadeveon Clowney coming back from injury. With Kareem Jackson and Johnathan Joseph at the corners, this is a loaded group.

Kansas City will also have its advantages. The Texans will be starting a middling quarterback who doesn’t have terrific weapons around him. The pass rush should be a factor in this one, giving Tamba Hali and Justin Houston a chance to feast. The interior of Houston’s line is also weak, something Dontari Poe and Derrick Johnson are happy about.
