Week 14: San Diego Chargers

Again, this will not be easy. Rivers is always dangerous, and the Chargers are likely to be in the hunt for a postseason berth. San Diego has been a weird team over the years, losing games it should not while winning contests nobody expected them to be in.

The Chiefs have to establish the run early and often against a weak front seven. Last year, the Chargers ranked 29th in yards allowed per run at 4.5, something that could be devastating for the team against the likes of Jamaal Charles and Knile Davis. San Diego has not done much to upgrade the front, so this is likely going to be a problem once more for Mike McCoy’s team.

If the Chiefs can beat the Chargers heads-up, they stand a terrific chance of making their second playoff appearance in three seasons. San Diego has talent but also enough issues that Kansas City should make some hay in these contests. Still, they will be dogfights.
