Per NFL Network’s Albert Breer, Kansas City Chiefs Director of Player Personnel Chris Ballard kicked off the “Thanks But No Thanks” tour known as the New York Jets offseason.
Per source, Kansas City's Chris Ballard has turned down the Jets' interview request.

In recent weeks, Ballard’s name has been plastered across countless headlines. However, the latest rejection doesn’t cement his future with the Chiefs.
In the eyes of some, the former scout remains a frontrunner to fill the vacancy left by ex-Bears GM Phil Emery. And unlike the Jets, Kansas City’s candidate has a 12-year history with Chicago.
As CSN’s David Kaplan reports, if Ballard does return to the Windy City, at least one insider banks on a local friend, special teams coordinator Dave Toub, boarding the same flight.
Tonight same source said: "Chris Ballard probably gets that job & he is phenomenal. If he gets it I think he brings Dave Toub as head coach"

Regardless, the sooner that Ballard and/or the Bears make their respective decisions, the better. And according to Dan Wiederer of the Chicago Tribune, the Fighting Cutlers (Clausens?) aren’t wasting any time.
As the Bears' hunt for a new GM picks up, Chris Ballard will interview with the team Wednesday. http://t.co/AQFnChFZPf

Handcuffing the staff is frowned upon, right?
