Kansas City Chiefs 2015 Opponents

The Kansas City Chiefs 9-7 record and second place finish in the AFC West means we know all the opponents for the Chiefs’ 2015 season.

HOME: Cleveland Browns, Pittsburgh Steelers, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions (London), Buffalo Bills, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, and Oakland Raiders

ROAD: Cincinnati Bengals, Baltimore Ravens, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Houston Texans, Denver Broncos, San Diego Chargers, and Oakland Raiders

Kansas City will play the Lions in London but it will count as a home game for the Chiefs. It is unknown as of now how the Chiefs plan to handle that with season ticket holders who will now only have nine games to attend next season including the preseason. One would hope the Chiefs will charge fans for only nine games instead of 10.

The schedule overall does look a bit easier than the one the Chiefs had to deal with in 2014 although it will feature seven games against teams that made the playoffs. Getting the Ravens and Bengals on the road is a tough break, plus the loss of the home game. But the schedule itself does seem more navigable than this year’s did.

All of this could change depending on how the offseason plays out. The Lions have some big cap players they’ll have to make decisions on, Green Bay may lose Randall Cobb, and Houston is still looking for a quarterback. And while the AFC North had three playoff teams this year, that’s typically not a sustainable deal from season to season.

It’s not an easy schedule but it’s a solid one. 2015 should be fun.
