Kansas City enters Sunday controlling their own destiny even with the San Diego Chargers miraculous overtime victory against the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday night. Win each of the next two games against the Steelers and the Chargers and the Chiefs will be in the playoffs no matter what.
Lose today and… well it doesn’t look good.
It’s all pretty straight forward for the Chiefs, who are looking to make the playoffs in back-to-back years for the first time since the early 1990’s. Either the Chiefs find a way to put all of the injuries and late season struggles behind them and work their way to the playoffs or the questions will start filtering in about why Andy Reid’s first two teams in Kansas City have choked away golden opportunities in the second half of the season.
Hopefully we won’t have to answer those questions in the offseason.
