Travis Kelce: ‘Von Miller Deserved A Shot To The Face’

facebooktwitterreddit

Travis Kelce: American hero.

Early in the night you may have seen the one positive highlight of the Chiefs-Broncos game where Kelce looked, er, displeased with the officiating. His gesture happened right after Alex Smith took what looked like a cheap shot from Von Miller, a play that would earn him a 15-yard personal foul penalty. Smith stayed on the ground for a little bit after the hit, something that’s pretty rare for him as he’s one of the tougher quarterbacks in the league.

It turns out, however, Kelce wasn’t upset with the officiating. He was in fact very upset with Miller. How do we know this? Because Kelce sent out this tweet after the game to explain his actions to the world.

TRAVIS KELCE IS MY NEW FAVORITE CHIEFS PLAYER AND IS BETTER THAN TONY GONZALEZ EVEN IF HE REALLY ISN’T BUT I DON’T CARE BECAUSE THIS TWEET IS THE AWESOMEST.

Sorry about the all-caps and run-on sentence there. Let’s move on.

What a tremendous tweet from Kelce, a guy who seemed to be the only Chiefs offensive player to be upset about the incident when it happened. His passion for the game is going to make him one of Kansas City’s all-time favorite athletes if he can continue to get better and stay healthy.

Also, I totally agree Miller deserved a shot to the face.
