1. Play With Heart

This last one may seem like an unconventional key, but it’s one that, this week, will mean more.

Chiefs safety Eric Berry has recently been diagnosed with a mass in his chest. While initial test results indicate lymphoma, we won’t know more details until he has seen a specialist. This news was shocking to the Chiefs Kingdom. We cheer for our favorite players and cringe when they get hurt, but knowing that one is fighting a battle far more serious than a sprained ankle is hard to grasp.

The Chiefs are much more than a team—they’re a family. This has been shown time and again over the last few years. Events like the Jovan Belcher tragedy have forever changed this organization. This team has the uncanny ability to rally around one another for strength in tough times, and this Sunday will be no different.

That being the case, look for the Chiefs to play with more than just a playoff berth on the line. They will also be playing for a teammate who cannot be on the field with them. Kansas City will more than likely dedicate Sunday’s divisional game to Eric Berry. They will play in his honor and leave it all on the field this Sunday. The Chiefs are looking to not only win the game for themselves but for a member of their family.

They need to play with heart this Sunday and they will. And because of that, they might be able to pull out a victory against the visiting Broncos.

What do you think, Addicts? What are the keys that the Chiefs need to focus on in order to get the win this weekend?

Sound off below! Thanks for reading. GO CHIEFS!
