Ex-Chiefs QB Tyler Thigpen Passes Out In Wendy’s Drive-Thru, Charged With DUI
By Brett Gering
Remember back in 2008, when Tyler Thigpen was deemed the Kansas City Chiefs’ pigskin-passing savior?
Ah, those were the days (that I wanted to throw myself through a window).
Per The Sun News, Thigpen, who was waived by the Browns in August, was charged with a DUI early Sunday morning.
Apparently, officers were responding to a nearby call when they noticed Thigpen’s SUV had pulled into a Wendy’s drive-thru and remained parked for roughly 20 minutes.
The Sun News’ Maya T. Prabhu writes:
"The officers approached the Cadillac and saw that Thigpen was asleep in the driver’s seat with his foot on the brake. Horry County police said it took several minutes to awaken him. When they did, Thigpen told police he was confused, didn’t know where he was or how he had gotten there, according to a report."
Obviously, I haven’t read the police report, but odds are that it features the words “99-cent crispy chicken nuggets.”
Thigpen posted bond and is awaiting trial.
