Anthony Sherman, Pro Football Focus’ (PFF, subscription required) No. 1 overall fullback, has agreed to a contract extension with the Kansas City Chiefs.
I can confirm @APdaveskretta’s report that Anthony Sherman’s contract extension is for three years and worth up to $7 million.

Last summer, in what has become a universally praised move by John Dorsey, the Chiefs traded cornerback Javier Arenas to the Arizona Cardinals for Sherman’s services.
Now, in 2014, the latter looks to be on the cusp of his first Pro Bowl selection, while Arenas has yet to play a snap for his new team, the Atlanta Falcons. (Come hell or high water, Scott Pioli is determined to sign all of his former draft picks.)
Dorsey spoke highly of his lead blocker, claiming, “It was important for us to keep Anthony here in Kansas City.”
He added:
"He brings a lot to our football team with not only his play, but his work ethic, leadership and character. He doesn’t get a lot of recognition at his position, but he has been a key component to our success as a team."
On the heels of Week 9, PFF ranks Kansas City’s steamroller No. 1 in blocking and No. 2 (tied) in receiving among fullbacks.
Thank you to the @KCChiefs for the opportunity, Jess & I couldn't be happier to stay a part of #ChiefsKingdom! #GoChiefs
