Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles makes rushing look borderline artistic. In Week 8, he penned another example.

On the opening drive of the fourth quarter, No. 25 cradled the handoff, dodged an incoming linebacker, bounced to the opposite half of the field and sliced through a sandwich of defenders for a 36-yard touchdown.

Despite a subpar outing for the offensive line, Charles still managed to record 73 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries. He also added four catches for 44 yards.

While the perennial Pro Bowler was bottled up throughout the first half, Sunday showed why defenders can never afford to take a down off when he’s in the backfield. And even when he’s not, his protege, Knile Davis, is just as liable to torch the defense for a heart-thumping highlight.

Kansas City’s rushing combo is two lethal injections of speed; getting blasted by the home-run hitter, only to face the cleanup.

With the game out of reach, Charles spent the bulk of the final quarter taking a well-deserved rest.
