Monday Night Football. Arrowhead Stadium. Sound record. Tom Brady and Bill Belichick. Tonight is going to be fun.
The Chiefs are in a position where the next three games are going to define their season. Win two or more of the next three and the Chiefs have a serious shot at working their way into the playoffs. Failure to win two games likely means the Chiefs playoff hopes are done.
Looking at this game before the start of the season it seemed as it the Patriots were going to be one of the two best teams in the AFC. The fact the game was at Arrowhead and on Monday Night Football is what gave fans hope. After all of the injuries and terrible loss to the Titans it looked as if this game was going to be a nightmare. But after back-to-back strong performances by the team and the return of Jamaal Charles tonight, there seems to be a sense of hope the Chiefs are turning this season around.
New England is a battered and flawed team. Their offensive line ranks worse is some metrics than the Chiefs offensive line. Their defense is strong but struggles a bit in the secondary. Tom Brady looks like he’s finally starting to age a bit, missing throws and struggling in the pocket.
This game is winnable. This game is a must. Pray for Monday Night Magic.
