Sound records and Monday Night Football aside, Monday’s game against the New England Patriots is a huge one for the Kansas City Chiefs.
And Chiefs fans know it.
This may be part of the reason why Andy Reid is so confident about the intensity Chiefs fans are going to bring to the game this Monday night at Arrowhead Stadium. He went as far as to say he expects the sound record to be broken on Monday. And as a kindness, he warned the Patriots media members.
"Q: A lot has been made of the crowd noise at Arrowhead Stadium. As a coach, how helpful is that home noise, and do we make too much out of that?AR: We’ll just see how that rolls. They enjoy the Chiefs, and they’re very proud of the Chiefs, so it’s enjoyable to play in front of them. They’ll show up, for sure."
Reid told the Kansas City media he expects for the sound record to be broken.

So, you know, no pressure Chiefs fans.
The crowd noise may end up playing a huge factor is Monday’s game. New England’s offensive line is one of the worst pass protecting lines in the NFL and Tom Brady isn’t the most mobile of quarterbacks at this stage of his career. The crowd noise could help bolster the Chiefs, who are one of the NFL’s best pass rushing defenses. ‘Loud and Proud’ indeed.
