Sunday morning, I thought my favorite video of the week would be Stephen Colbert—disguised as an “I’m bad! I’m bad! Shamone!”-ish hawk-cat hybrid—explaining the plot for his movie (Mañana Manana) about a time-traveling man-banana who gives his life for the survival of mankind. Mañana Manana martyrdom.
Then Travis Kelce threw a curveball; the Shmoney Dance. (This Halloween, I may or may not dress up as “Bad” Michael Jackson and copyright “Shamone-y Dance.”)
For those who are feeling left in the dark, just know two things.
One: Von Miller did the dance and Denver lost.
Two: Kelce did it and Kansas City won.
Two quarters later, Gray made my TV nine weeks pregnant, and my flat screen axed its first name.
When asked, Gray dubbed the dance “Slanging.” I’m assuming he meant “Slick-ing,” (common auto-correct error) paying homage to The Suavefather himself, Slick Mahony.
