Inactives: De’Anthony Thomas, Albert Wilson To Sit

As expected De’Anthony Thomas will be inactive for today’s game against the Denver Broncos, according to the Chiefs inactives report. Thomas has been dealing with a hamstring issue for about two weeks.

In addition to Thomas, wide receiver Albert Wilson will also be inactive. There was some thought he could take some snaps Thomas would have received but it appears the Chiefs are not planning to go that direction.

Rounding out the Chiefs inactives are Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Joe McKnight, Damion Square, and Jamell Fleming.

Terez A. Paylor also reports via Twitter Jaye Howard will start for Mike DeVito at defensive end and Kevin Vickerson will also see some snaps today. What this means for Vance Walker, I’m not sure, but it would seem like he needs to be seeing more snaps than just the one he received last week.

Denver will sit injured backup safety David Bruton, who is also a key special teams player for them. Highly touted rookie wide receiver Cody Latimer will be inactive. And linebacker Danny Trevathan will not plays as expected.

Ben Garland, Michael Schofield, and Tony Carter round out the Broncos inactive list.
