Chiefs Injury Report: Jeff Allen, De’Anthony Thomas Miss Practice
By Ben Nielsen
DID NOT PRACTICE
OL Jeff Allen (elbow)
RB De’Anthony Thomas (hamstring)
Injured Reserve: Derrick Johnson and Mike DeVito
Thomas is still dealing with the hamstring issue but it sounds like he is improving daily. Whether or not he is improving fast enough to play on Sunday is unknown. Here’s what he posted on his Instagram account last night:
So there’s that.
Kansas City needs DAT to help open up their offense a little more but they need Jeff Allen to be healthy even more. Allen missed the entire second half of the game against Tennessee with a strained elbow and missed practice today. Should Allen not be able to go we are looking at an offensive line that’s featuring Mike McGlynn, a rookie right guard, and Ryan Harris. Not ideal.
There was no indication today about what Allen’s chances of playing will be on Sunday but with the way his elbow was wrapped up it doesn’t look good. One would think that if he participates in practice tomorrow then the Chiefs would have a shot of having him available on Sunday, if he doesn’t then it’s probably likely we get the worst case scenario offensive line for the Broncos.
Get well soon, Mr. Allen.
