Things are not looking good for De’Anthony Thomas to make is regular season debut with the Chiefs on Sunday.
Andy Reid told reporters after practice Thomas missed practice with the same hamstring issue he had yesterday and that “it’d be a stretch” if Thomas would play on Sunday.
Reid said DeAnthony Thomas "would be a stretch" for the Titans game.

Reid followed that statement by saying Thomas ran on a treadmill today and looked good doing so.
Reid did say Thomas "ran pretty fast" on the treadmill today so we'll see, I suppose. If he can't go Hammond is the next man up at PR.

Selfishly I want Thomas to play. His speed and playmaking abilities make watching him extremely exciting. However, hamstring issues are nothing to mess with. Pushing him too hard could cause a problem where Thomas misses more than just one game, if not the season. I’d rather the Chiefs be cautious here than too aggressive.
From a football standpoint, this doesn’t change too much what the Chiefs are going to try to do on Sunday. If anything it is a series of plays they will not have on film for Denver to study next week. It will be interesting to see if Albert Wilson gets some of the touches Thomas was slated to receive if Thomas is indeed out for Sunday.
