OFFENSIVE LINE
Tackle: Eric Fisher, Ryan Harris
Guard: Jeff Allen, Zach Fulton, Jeff Linkenbach, Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, Mike McGlynn
Center: Rodney Hudson, Eric Kush
Reserve-Suspended: Donald Stephenson
Ricky Henry and J’Marcus Webb were the primary offensive linemen who were cut on Saturday. It is thought Henry will receive and invitation to join the practice squad if he clears waivers.
Keeping nine offensive linemen speaks to the Chiefs concerns about their depth, but it should be noted there is a lot of upside and flexibility on the line. Jeff Allen will probably start the season at right tackle with either Linkenbach or McGlynn filling in at left guard. Fulton is a rookie at right guard with some upside and Larry Duvernay-Tardif may be the longterm answer at left guard depending on how he progresses.
With all of that said, it would not be a surprise if the Chiefs made another move in the next week to add to improve the situation along the offensive line once all of the cuts are announced.
One would think Ryan Harris is the guy who is let go once Stephenson rejoins the active roster.
