DEFENSIVE BACKS
Corner: Marcus Cooper, Sean Smith, Ron Parker, Phillip Gains, Chris Owens
Safety: Eric Berry, Husain Abdullah, Daniel Sorensen, Malcolm Bronson
If someone is going to go from this group it is going to be Bronson. Defensive back is the position where I fully expect John Dorsey to make a move before week one of the season in order to add some more depth at cornerback.
Parker looks like he could handle filling in at safety if the Chiefs needed a fourth guy back there which would open up a corner spot for the Chiefs and bump Bronson from the group. Of course the Chiefs could also cut from elsewhere on the roster to make room for a new player.
Marcus Cooper had a very good preseason which is an encouraging thing to see. It may have been one of the more underrated aspects of this preseason that should receive a lot of attention over the next week leading up to the Tennessee game. If Dorsey could pull another Cooper out of his hat that would be amazing.
