Kansas City Chiefs Inactives: Eric Fisher, Dwayne Bowe Among Those Who Didn’t Make The Trip

Six players have been scratched from tonight’s game in Green Bay for the Kansas City Chiefs. They are as follows:

Eric Fisher, Joe Mays, Mike Catapano, Dwayne Bowe, Junior Hemingway, and Tamba Hali.

Fisher and Catapano are ill which explains why they did not travel with the team. And we knew Joe Mays would be out after having surgery on his wrist.

Hali’s knee had some swelling earlier in the week but it is not considered to be serious. Chiefs are playing it safe by keeping him out of tonight. They are also playing it safe with Bowe’s quad injury.

Hemingway’s continued absence with a leg injury is concerning. The Chiefs haven’t gotten a great look at him this preseason with all of his hamstring and hip injuries. It leads one to wonder what his status will be after Saturday’s roster cutdown.

His absence does mean Albert Wilson, Kyle Williams, Mark Harrison, and A.J. Jenkins should see a lot of work tonight at wide receiver.

It should be noted Alex Smith, Jamaal Charles and several other starters will be in attendance tonight but none of them are expected to play much if at all. Tonight is going to be about getting one long last look at the back half of the remaining 75 players on the roster.
