I know, I know, it just didn’t look that good for the Chiefs in their second preseason game. Nine out of ten Chiefs beat writers are beating up on the Chiefs too. So, here are nine reasons to believe in the Chiefs in 2014.

Now why would I show up here to try to tell you some “good news” about a team that looked hopeless on Sunday? Let’s be realistic, in the first quarter of the first two preseason games… when it was mostly the Chiefs first teamers at the controls… the red-shirts from K.C. have been winning those two first quarters by a combined score of 26-10.

Yes, I know, later on Andy Reid could be found giving his reasons for what the difference between the first and second quarters was when Eric “The Rock” Fisher turned into Eric “The Jelly” Fisher before our very eyes. Now that we’re all versed in the evolution that Mr. Fisher and his rehabbing shoulder is in the midst of, we are also aware that in less than three weeks he’ll need to put four full quarters together… unless of course Reid can convince the Tennessee Titans to stretch the game out over four days.

In any event, the Chiefs have a lot going for them. It’s human nature to doubt. However, in the case of the 2014 Kansas City Chiefs, there are many reasons to believe. Here are nine reasons to believe.
