TIGHT END
Anthony Fasano
Travis Kelce
Demetrius Harris
Cut: Richard Gordon
Peter King reported last week he thinks John Dorsey may try to trade a tight end before the final cutdown at the end of August. He expects nothing more than a seventh rounder in compensation and named the New York Giants as a possible trade partner.
The seventh round compensation would seem to indicate Gordon would be the trade piece. Coaches seem to be very happy with Harris and his progression and Fasano is worth more than a seventh rounder. And after the way last season went tight end injuries, trading Fasano may not be a good idea.
But if the Chiefs do think Travis Kelce can stay healthy and that Harris is ready to contribute at a decent level this season then parting with Fasano for something closer to a fifth rounder may not be a bad idea.
