Snoop Dogg Is A Fan Of Chiefs Rookie

facebooktwitterreddit

It would appear the Chiefs street cred is growing a little bit. Rapper Snoop Dog tweeted out an Instagram of Chiefs rookie De’Anthony Thomas and had a bold statement to go with it.

Snoop is probably referring to Thomas’ 80-yard punt return for a touchdown in Kansas City’s preseason opener against the Cincinnati Benagls on Thursday night. Not only did Thomas flash his blazing speed but he also surprised some people with his ability to take the initial hit and the then use his blocking to find the open lane to the end zone. The kid is going to be really special.

This isn’t a surprise to Snoop who has been watching Thomas since he was playing in Snoop’s Youth Football League. Legend has it Thomas’ earned his nickname ‘Black Mamba’ from Snoop while he played in the league but there is a thought Thomas had the nickname prior to Snoop’s recollection of bestowing Thomas his nickname. Can’t imagine why Snoop would get some facts mixed up…

At least we can now count on seeing Snoop in a Chiefs jersey at some point soon, and maybe even a Chiefs game. Certainly he ends up at the Chiefs-Raiders game, right? This should lead to a lot of fun times.
