Defensive End Dee Ford
Now I have stated before I was a little shocked when the Chiefs selected Mr. Ford 23rd overall in the draft.
It was only after doing some research on Ford that I started to get excited about the prospect of having three quick and talented lineman on the defense. Having a core group of pass rushers will be a great to have, especially given Mr. Peyton Manning is still king of the AFC West.
As the training camp days have been going on only good things have been mentioned about Ford as he has shown that he can and will be a valued part of this Chiefs team. With the first game of the preseason occuring on Thursday you can be sure that Ford will get his share of reps during the game. I look for him to be moved around and hopefully we will see a package with him Tamba Hali and Justin Houston and what that might look like.
At the same time if the Chiefs are planning on using Ford in an interesting ways on the field; perhaps we will not see him in as many packages trying to keep film on what could be a big weapon from being too abundant. Whatever the case may be Dee Ford is going to get plenty of time to showcase what he has in the Chiefs first preseason game.
