5. Wide Receivers Part Two

Key Figures: Weston Dressler, Albert Wilson, Frankie Hammond, Mark Harrison, Junior Hemingway

At Stake: Roster spots

Projected Leader(s): Albert Wilson, Frankie Hammond

Several names are available to the Chiefs when it comes to figuring out who will be the last receiver or two to make the roster. Injuries have hurt Hammond, Harrison, and Hemingway’s case to make the roster, but Weston Dressler hasn’t done much in that time to separate himself from the group. Dressler can really make a case for himself tonight if Hemingway and Harrison cannot go tonight.

The guy who has made an impression is Albert Wilson. Wilson is an undrafted rookie with a lot of speed and athleticism. He seems to be catching onto the offense quickly and is making some plays in space when given the opportunity. Add to that his special teams contributions as a backup punt and kick returner and Wilson may sneak on to the back end of the Chiefs roster

Should either Harrison or Hemingway play tonight they would have a chance to make up for time lost with good games. Both were performing very well in camp prior to their hamstring injuries. Harrison is a 6-3 with 4.46 speed who was giving Sean Smith a ton of fits in coverage. He could be a guy who regains his standing as a guy who could crash the roster with a good night.
