RUNNING BACKS
Jamaal Charles
Knile Davis
De’Anthony Thomas
Anthony Sherman
Cut: Cyrus Gray, Joe McKnight
Practice Squad Candidate: Charcandrick West, Jordan Campbell
Predicting the running backs has to be the easiest part of the roster right now. Charles and Davis are obvious locks, and it seems the Chiefs seem set keeping Thomas listed as a running back. Sherman is one of the best fullbacks and special teams players in football so his roster spot should be safe.
Joe McKnight has missed almost all of training camp to date and was out of football all of last season so it is difficult seeing him make the roster over a guy like Cyrus Gray who is a more valuable special teams piece to the Chiefs than McKnight would be if he made the roster. But finding a spot for Gray is very difficult given the Chiefs needs for depth on the offensive line and at wide receiver, so right now he looks like the odd man out.
