4. Wide Receiver Battle Getting Interesting

Let’s start by saying injuries to A.J. Jenkins Mark Harrison, and Junior Hemingway may be influencing this a bit, but Wilson and Williams have each been having solid camps. Williams in particular looked good in practice and seems to be filling some roles not only on the outside but also in the slot.

We talked a little bit yesterday about the Chiefs maybe attacking the wide receiver problem with numbers, and the inclusion of Wilson and Williams lining up with the first team may be some sort of an indicator of that happening. Eventually De’Anthony Thomas, A.J. Jenkins, and Junior Hemingway will be added to the mix. The collection of wide receivers may be enough to make up for the Chiefs not having a truly elite receiver.
