2. Sean McGrath Dealing With Personal Issues
Nick Jacobs reported Sean McGrath could be considering retirement after not appearing at practice today. Andy Reid said after practice McGrath is dealing with personal issues and would not elaborate on if those issues involved a potential retirement.
McGrath would be in a battle with Demetrius Harris for the final tight end spot on the roster. He took advantage of his time with the Chiefs last year, starting 10 games and catching two touchdowns. But McGrath doesn’t have the kind of tools Harris possesses and he is not as consistent or explosive as Anthony Fasano and Travis Kelce. Whether or not McGrath saw the writing on the wall may be a factor in his decision while he is pondering calling it quits.
