Former Chiefs cornerback Brandon Flowers is close to picking his new team, according to a report from Jason La Canfora. Here the tweet of note:
There was no speculation as to who Flowers will choose but there have been reports of Flowers visiting with the San Diego Chargers and Pittsburgh Steelers. There’s always a chance another team swoops in and signs the veteran in the next few days.
Should Flowers end up signing with one of those two teams, the Chiefs will have the opportunity to face him at least once. Kansas City plays the Steelers in week 16 and have two match-ups against the Chargers in weeks 7 and 17. Flowers would join a list with Dexter McCluster, Brandon Albert, and Glenn Dorsey of recent former players who will be playing against the Chiefs this season.
