The man who hated distractions is about to get a huge one during training camp next month. Scott Pioli’s Atlanta Faclcons were selected to be the focus of this year’s season of “Hard Knocks,” and HBO show that covers the grind of NFL training camp.
“We are excited about the opportunity to give our fans a behind the scenes look at what it takes to prepare an NFL team for the rigors of a 16-game regular season and beyond,” said Falcons owner Arthur Blank in a statement Thursday. “This marks the first time that our franchise will be featured on Hard Knocks and we look forward to showcasing our great players and coaches to football fans all across America.”
Hard Knocks in Atlanta means a lot of former Chiefs may be appearing on the show. Along with the Chiefs’ former
death march leader
GM, former players Tyson Jackson, Jon Asamoah, and Javier Arenas. Former Missouri players William Moore and Sean Weatherspoon play for Atlanta, and Kansas State rookie Tramaine Thompson will be looking to earn a spot on the roster as an undrafted rookie.
There’s also the chance the there could be some kind of Tony Gonzalez sighting. You never know with him.
Will any of the Atlanta moments be able to top this one?
