De’Anthony Thomas Signs
By Ben Nielsen
De’Anthony Thomas doesn’t have a number yet but he does have a contract.
Thomas became the fourth Chiefs draft pick to sign a contract today, joining sixth rounders Zach Fulton and Laurent Tardif, and third rounder Phillip Gaines. Kansas City has Dee Ford and Aaron Murray left to sign.
Over the Cap estimates Thomas’ contract to worth $2,640,108 in total with a bonus of $420,108. His cap hit this season will be $525,027 and will top out at $795,027 in 2017.
What Thomas will bring in 2014 isn’t entirely known but we can estimate with pretty good certainty that he’ll see plenty of reps in the return game. The popular opinion is Thomas will fill the role left by Dexter McCluster as he gains a better understanding of the offense. We broke down what he can do earlier in the week.
