Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning. Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.
Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom today.
Welcome to The Morning Fix.
Good morning, Addicts. Draft week. Get pumped.
Josh Michaels of KC Kingdom says the Chiefs need to find an elite receiver.
"With this draft class being so deep at wide receiver, the chances of them finding the next great pass catcher has a good percentage. However, I’m a bit skeptical when it comes to them drafting a receiver in the first round."
Herbie Teope projects the first round draft options for the Chiefs.
"The underlying message last week from general manager John Dorsey’s pre-draft press conference surrounded the best player available, meaning there are options to consider.Bobby Bell talks about the changes in the NFL since he stopped playing.During his 12-years as a defensive end and outside linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs, Bell saw his fair share of hard-hitting football that took its toll on many players.“When I played, you’d get a few hits to the head, you’d see stars and they’d just take you out and then put you back in,” Bell said. “Now, you get a concussion, they take you out and put you in the locker room and you may never come back out because they are concerned.”"
The draft is a different game for the Chiefs this year, says Adam Teicher.
"So the draft is a different game for general manager John Dorsey and the Chiefs this year. They will have to sit by idly for a few hours and 22 picks this year before they get their chance to select a player, assuming they don’t move in the first round."
Five years of Kansas City Chiefs draft rumors from Matt Connor of Arrowhead Pride.
"The Kansas City Chiefs will find themselves on the clock at No. 23 overall on Thursday night if no trades are made. From that spot, they’ve been linked to multiple safeties, defensive linemen, a guard, and every wide receiver ever made (it seems). Then again, Teddy Bridgewater rumors have surfaced with Chris Mortensen’s recent report, which just stirs the pot even more."
Two non-football stories:
– I’m going to assume Dwayne Wade has not been banned for life.
– Man accused of robbing a Waffle House with a pitchfork. Surprised this did not happen in Florida.
