Ahmad Dixon is maybe the best fit for what the Chiefs are looking for. He’s physical, fast, and makes big plays when given the opportunity. He has big hands and good size and has a frame that could handle a little more muscle.

Dixon could develop into a guy who can play in the box and play centerfield, though he will not be able to do that immediately. This potential versatility could end up being very useful given the way Sutton likes to play defense. Dixon is fast enough to run with speed receivers and physical enough to cover tight ends and bigger receivers. He’s aggressive in the run game, is good in space, and showed ability to make big plays.

At worst, Dixon is an excellent special teams player who contributes heavily in passing down situations. At best he’s an impact safety.

Dane Brugler on Dixon:

"Extremely fast downhill and loves to get his hands dirty in the run game, striking through his target with strong hands to finish. Dixon has an accurate first step with the quickness and range to play both sidelines with an alert, active mentality. Works hard to shed blocks to make open-field stops and is a physical tackler. He is confident in coverage to jump routes and aggressively go after the ball."

CBS set Dixon’s stock for the fifth round.
