Many people need their coffee to get up and going in the morning.  Here at Arrowhead Addict, we understand that for a Chiefs fan, coffee is simply not enough.

Here’s all that’s happening around Chiefs Kingdom today.

Welcome to The Morning Fix.

Good

morning

afternoon, Addicts. The Fix is late getting up today so you’re getting a special lunch addition today. No worries, The Fix will make its morning return tomorrow. To the links…

Matt Verderame takes a look at late Buffalo Bills owner Ralph Wilson’s impact on the AFL.

"The Raiders are here today because of Wilson. The man from Columbus, Ohio loaned Valley and his partners $400,000 to keep them in business. Without Wilson, the league would have been in serious trouble. Perhaps, without Wilson, we wouldn’t have the Chiefs to root for."

Herbie Teope says Chris Owens’ versatility will be key for the Chiefs.

"At initial glance, Owens could be viewed to fill the role Dunta Robinson was signed to perform last season before the Chiefs released Robinson this offseason following a disappointing campaign."

Adam Teicher says the Chiefs think Eric Fisher’s time is now.

"Still, it’s far too early to call Fisher a bust and, in fact, it’s reasonable to believe Fisher can eventually play as well as Albert did last season. Fisher came to the Chiefs lacking the necessary upper body strength to be a polished player. An offseason in Kansas City’s weight program should help him develop into a productive player."

Andrew Brandt has some interesting stories from the NFL owners’ meetings.

"And when Manning picked Denver, he simply asked Condon:“What does Tom Brady make?”“$18 million a year.”“Then I don’t want to make a penny more than that.”"

It would appear playoff expansion is coming and coming soon.

"“I think there is a tremendous amount of interest in this, possibly even to the point of support,” Goodell said after ownership discussed the topic this week. “But there are also things we still want to make sure we do right."

Two non-football stories:

– You really need to check out what the Red Sox will be wearing when they visit the White House.

– It looks like Gwyneth Paltrow is back on the market.
