ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting the Oakland Raiders are expected to trade for Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub.

The move would give a great deal of flexibility for the Raiders with the fifth overall pick and an improvement at quarterback. Here’s what our friends over at Just Blog Baby are saying.

With the offensive line being beefed up, it was only natural that the Oakland Raiders were leaning toward finding a veteran to come into Oakland and compete with whoever they draft at QB in 2014, and Schaub will also compete against Pryor and McGloin.  Matt Schaub is a Oakland Raider.

It will be interesting to see what Oakland does with the fifth overall pick. There should be some solid developmental quarterback prospects at the top of the second round, which could give Oakland the flexibility to take a Jadeveon Clowney, Greg Robinson, Jake Matthews, or Sammy Watkins.

What do you think, Addicts: Does Oakland’s addition of Schaub pose a concern for the Chiefs?
